Robin D Murder Mystery Party

No murders had been committed at the beginning of the night - instead everyone received an invitation explaining who their character was.

It was set in Gambia in 1939 on a ferry from Georgetown to Bathurst, with an overnight stop in Mansa Konko. When everyone arrived, in costume, they received a pack of info explaining their character in detail, including their 'secret' identity (e.g. German spy, man on the run, ruby smuggler). They also received cards representing items in their possession (e.g. gun, Agatha Christie novel containing strange formulae and writings, another person's passport) and abilities they possessed. They also learned what their objectives for the evening were (obtain £150 to pay for a flight out of Gambia, obtain travel documents in your name, identify the ruby smuggler and restrain them, obtain the secret formula for rocket fuel).

The next four hours were spent on the boat interacting with the other guests and trying to achieve objectives. Robin was the impartial captian who knew everyone's secrets and was able to adjudicate and clarify when necessary. He also managed to cook and serve drinks whilst preventing fights breaking out for real...
